Dual Nationality
Pakistan permits dual nationality with Ireland. Citizens who acquire Ireland citizenship retain Pakistani nationality.
- Notify the Embassy after acquiring Ireland citizenship
- Apply for NICOP if not held
- Enter/exit Pakistan on Pakistan passport
Pakistan Origin Card (POC)
For former Pakistani citizens and foreign spouses/children of Pakistanis in Ireland.

Citizenship Renunciation
Pakistani citizenship can be renounced at the Embassy. Requires application, passport surrender, and fee. After renunciation, apply for a POC to maintain ties.
