Arrival Process at LHE

  1. Immigration: Follow signs to Passport Control. Have your passport, visa/e-visa, and arrival card ready. Foreigners use dedicated counters. Processing: 10-20 minutes.
  2. Baggage claim: Check screens for belt assignment. Trolleys available. Wait time: 15-30 minutes.
  3. Customs: Green (nothing to declare) or Red channel. Standard Pakistan customs rules apply.
  4. Arrivals hall: SIM cards, money exchange, ATMs, and transport available immediately after exiting.

Tip: Many international flights arrive between midnight and 4 AM. Prebook your hotel transfer or have Careem ready on your phone.

First Steps After Arrival

  1. SIM card: Buy a local SIM at the airport (Jazz, Zong, or Telenor). Requires passport copy. Data plans start from PKR 500 (~$1.80) for 10-15 GB.
  2. Money exchange: Exchange counters are available in the arrivals hall. Rates are fair but slightly below market. ATMs accept Visa/Mastercard.
  3. Transport: Book a Careem ride from the app for fair pricing, or use the airport taxi counter.
