What to pack for Pakistan depends heavily on your destination and season. This comprehensive checklist covers city visits, mountain trekking, and everything in between.

Key rule: Dress modestly. Both men and women should avoid shorts and sleeveless tops in public, especially outside major cities. Loose, lightweight, breathable clothing works best.

Essential Documents

  • Passport (valid 6+ months) with printed e-visa
  • Photocopies of passport and visa (stored separately)
  • Travel insurance documents (printed and digital)
  • Hotel booking confirmations
  • Vaccination certificates (Yellow Fever if applicable)

Men

  • Long-sleeve shirts (cotton/linen)
  • Shalwar kameez (buy locally — fits in perfectly)

Women

  • Dupatta/large scarf (multi-purpose)

  • Domestic flights: PIA allows 23kg checked + 7kg cabin. Airblue similar. Check current limits.
