Kuwait Work Visa Process

  1. Job offer: Receive formal employment offer from Kuwait-based employer
  2. Labour approval: Employer obtains permission from Public Authority for Manpower (PAM)
  3. Medical test: GAMCA medical in Pakistan (gcchmc.org)
  4. Visa issuance: Employer arranges work visa through Kuwait MOFA
  5. Travel: Enter Kuwait on the work visa
  6. Residence permit (Civil ID): Employer processes within 30 days

Kuwait Labour Law

Important Warnings

  • Visa trading is illegal: Never buy a visa from an agent or sponsor. This is a serious offence in Kuwait
  • Absconding: Leaving your employer without proper transfer is considered absconding and can result in deportation and travel bans
