Jinnah International Airport (KHI) — Departures Guide

Everything you need for a smooth departure from Jinnah International Airport. Check-in times, security procedures, duty-free shopping, lounges, and boarding.

Departure Process at KHI

  1. Check-in: Opens 3 hours before international departure. KHI is the busiest airport — arrive early. Online check-in highly recommended.
  2. Security: Multiple screening points. Standard rules apply. Can be thorough and slow during peak times.
  3. Immigration: Passport control with emigration check. Pakistani workers need OEC.
  4. Airside: Good selection of duty-free, restaurants, and lounges. The renovated Jinnah Terminal has improved facilities.

Tip: KHI departure hall gets very crowded for evening Gulf flights. Use online check-in and arrive early to avoid stress.
