Lost/Stolen Passport

  1. Report to Qatar police immediately
  2. Contact the Embassy: +974 4483 2525
  3. Apply for Emergency Travel Document (ETD) - issued within 1-3 days
  4. Or apply for full passport replacement (4-8 weeks)

ETD requires: police report, passport copy, NICOP, 2 photos, travel booking, fee.

Arrest or Detention

If arrested in Qatar, you have the right to contact the Embassy.

  • Can do: Visit you, provide lawyer list, contact family, ensure fair treatment
  • Cannot do: Get you released, pay legal fees, interfere with legal proceedings
